LaBagh Woods in Chicago, Illinois offers the northwest side a beautiful respite from its larger urban context. This project investigated the redesign of a bridge which was once used for freight rail transport into a future bike corridor connection. The design pulls pedestrian and cycling routes onto separate planes offering each path a unique experience with the water below and the surrounding woods. The small intervention creates moments of interiority and exteriority through adjusting different levels of exposure or enclosure within the site.
