PROMONTORY POINT VIDEO STUDY
Promontory Point is a historic Chicago landscape designed by Alfred Caldwell in the early 1930’s. Known for its iconic limestone block revetment this video is a study to capture to the intimate interplay between water and rock. This relationship is as old as time and continues to captivate those who choose to spend their time at the edge of Lake Michigan. As the original design has eroded over time this video reflects the fears that the City of Chicago could replace the limestone walls with the typical concrete revetment design of the last few decades.
